Italy Wins European Soccer League Champions!!!!!

OK, the Final has yet to be played on May 28, but since the two Finalists are Juventus and AC Milan, whoever wins, Italy will be the home of the Victor.

The Quarter finals started off with the two finalists, plus Real Madrid and Inter Milan, resulting in three out of the four finalists being Italian, a first for Italy, and accomplished only once before by Spain.

However, Real Madrid, the powerhouse that it is, could have emerged as the ultimate Champion, and left the three Italian teams as also rans.

However, Juventus, seemingly overmatched by mighty Real Madrid, and having lost the first game to Real, by winning the second game, by a convincing 3-1, prevailed on aggregate goals yesterday.

AC Milan won a place in the Champions League final on Tuesday despite being held to a 1-1 draw by city rivals Inter Milan in a frantic semifinal, second leg derby at their shared San Siro stadium.

Milan, the away team in the tie, go through on the away goals rule to their ninth final, and first since 1995 after the first leg last week ended goalless.

The Finals will be played at Manchester United's Old Tafford stadium.

Italian sports writers were besides themselves with glee, because Spain's sports writers had been describing Italian Soccer as being "prehistoric".
