2004 Athens OLYMPIC UPDATE
The ANNOTICO Report

Italy is still doing well, in 8th place in Gold Medals, and 9th place in Total Medals.
9 Golds, 6 Silvers, 8 Bronze  = Total 23.    Women have earned 7 of the 23.

7 medals have come in Fencing, 3 in Rowing, and 3 in Shooting, 2 in Swimming, 2 in Gymnastics, and 1 each in Sailing, Judo, Archery, Athletics, Water Polo, Cycling

On Friday in Men's Basketball Semi Finals-  Italy will meet unbeaten and favored Lithuania, who will then play the winner of USA vs against Argentina.

Also on Friday, in the Men's Volleyball Semi Finals -
Italy vs Russia, and USA vs Brazil

There is extensive Track and Field, Boxing, Canoe, Cycling, Diving, Equestrian, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Modern Pentathlon, Synchronised Swimming, Taekwondo, Men's Water Polo, Wrestling Events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. with the Closing Ceremonies on Sunday Evening.
