The ANNOTICO Report
As you all know, George Clooney bought a villa on the
shores of Lake Como,
and then bought the two villas flanking his own, partly
for privacy, partly
to have room for all his guests, and as a base as he
filmed "Oceans Twelve"
there. Brad Pitt and Richard Gere are also supposedly
looking for a villa
somewhere on the lake. Madonna and Elton John already
have villas on the
Lake.
Lake Como is the deepest lake in Europe, but one of the
smallest in Italy,
and is in the shape of an upside down "Y", and a man
by imaginative locals.
Clooney at first seemed to have charmed the locals, but
certain actions
were construed as him attempting to "privatize" the beach
in front of his
villas, mostly for privacy, not from locals who have
been most polite, but
from aggressive American, British, and German tourists.
George now has penned a "I was misunderstood, and I want
to earn your
respect" letter.
Not only that, but am I reading this right, that Clooney
intends to apply
for Italian Citizenship ??

GEORGE CLOONEY has penned a heartfelt letter to his neighbours
in Laglio,
Italy assuring them he has no intention of stealing their
beach.
Locals were so livid when Clooney started cleaning up
the sand on the
shores of Lake Como amid reports he was planning to make
it a private beach
they started vandalising his property in protest.
But now the movie star has promised his neighbours that
he was merely
cleaning up the beach for everybody's use.
In a letter sent to the local council, he wrote, "I have
never and would
never try to take the beach away."
And in a further bid to renew his friendship with locals,
he signs off,
"Let me earn your respect and your citizenship."
