A Complaint from Bob Paladino

Warner Brothers Video "See Spot Run" rated PG for family is
seriously anti-Italian and offensive.

All, I thought I was sitting down on this past Friday night with
my wife and two children, eight and nine, to watch a family movie
but instead we were exposed to worst bigotry imaginable.

For a full ninety minutes this "made-for-family hour" video depicted
two bumbling Italian-American mobsters as central figures trying
to "rub-out" a Spot, the dog hero of the film.

During this video:
* The two mobsters talk in incomplete sentences and in stupid
nonsensical tones,
* They eat Italian food and are overweight,
* Both attack a defenseless dog but are thwarted by this dog,
* One is urinated on by a dog in the park,
* One Mobster loses both testicles to Spot.

My wife and I are well educated, both with CPAs, live in an affluent
town with top schools and in an executive neighborhood.  I have
earned dual Master Degrees at Wharton Graduate School of
business and attended executive education at Harvard and MIT.

This video did however provide an opportunity for my wife and I to
discuss bigotry in the Time Warner's media towards Italian
Americans with our children and neighbors, which made them
angry with Time Warner.

As a proud Italian American, I applaud AIDA, NIAF, UNICO and others
organizations' efforts to fight anti-Italian imaging in the media.  We need
more actions like these.

I have provided you with the list of the "credits"...
