Italy to Assist Israel in Preserving it's Archaeological Heritage

CULTURE: ITALY-ISRAEL MOU SIGNED

The Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Israel's Ministry for
Education, Sports and Culture signed today an Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) for cooperation in the preservation of artistic and archaeological
heritage.

The document entails support to the central restoration institute to the
Israeli Preservation Centre in the old city of Acco, cooperation for set up
data processing systems on cultural heritage, updating of scientific
know-how and methods regarding renovation in the Israeli Ministry.

The MoU was signed by Giuseppe Proietti, chief of research, innovation and
organisation, on behalf of the Italian ministry, and by Shuka Dorfman,
general director for antiques of the Isreali ministry. (AGI) -
