Executive Summary

Italy is among Europe's 3G leaders. By the end of 2005, 15% of Italian mobile subscribers had a 3G phone, and four operators, including 3G-only operator 3, had introduced advanced mobile services like mobile TV.

Operators' efforts to push 3G are starting to pay off, as more and more consumers show interest in advanced mobile services.

Taking into account these market conditions, Forrester expects that, by 2010, 72% of all Italian mobile subscribers will use 3G and more than half will regularly use mobile Internet services.

Forrester Research (NASDAQ: FORR) is an independent technology and market research company that provides pragmatic and forward-thinking advice about technology's impact on business and consumers.
