Thanks to IAOV, UNICO, and others. Your efforts have again been rewarded!!!
No sooner do I ask, than Larry DiStasi advises me:
-------------------------------------
Richard:

I have just heard from Joanne Chiedi of the Department of Justice that
she has been given the go-ahead to release copies of the DOJ Report to the
Congress of the U.S.: "A Review of the Restrictions on Persons of Italian
Ancestry During World War II," which was mandated by Public Law 106-451.

Therefore, all interested parties can now call the DOJ and ask for a copy
to be sent to them. phone number: (202) 514-4224.

The Report, which had been issued only to the Congressional Leadership,
is now available to the PUBLIC in its ENTIRETY. Among other things, it gives
the Official Imprimatur of the U.S. Government to the Wartime Story that
has so long been denied. It is well worth reading.
