The Sacco-Vanzetti Project

For this occasion The Dante Alighieri Society of Massachusetts has initiated 
the Sacco - Vanzetti Project to reconsider this landmark case as fully and as 
clearly as possible. 

It has invited many interested institutions to collaborate. 

The primary mission of the Project is to make important Sacco-Vanzetti 
archives accessible to scholars and to the general public, to explore the 
case for its effects upon American society, and to institute educational 
programs based upon these materials. 

During the year 2002, other public events such as lectures, educational
programs, dramatic presentations and slideshows will also be held
within many different contexts to promote a fuller understanding of the
Sacco-Vanzetti Case. The year will culminate with a conference at the
Boston Public Library to reconsider the influence of the Sacco-Vanzetti
Case upon American society and world history. 

These events will be fully discussed with collaborating groups.
