Dona de Sanctis Moves to OSIA as Deputy Executive Director.
Dona is leaving her positions at NIAF as Director: Media Institute,
and Director: Research & Cultural Affairs.

Most of you either do know, or should know, or know of Dona.
She has been a diligent and dedicated proponent for the Italian
American Community in "Accentuating the Positive, and striving to
Eliminating the Negative."

It is SUCH a relief to know that her move upward was WITHIN the I-A
Community, and NOT up and out.

We all wish her well in her new position, and she may be assured that
she has our continuing and complete support.

Dona's Announcement follows.
======================================================
After nearly 10 years with the National Italian American Foundation, I am
leaving to become the new deputy executive director of the Order Sons of
Italy in America (OSIA) in its Washington, DC headquarters.

OSIA is the largest and oldest organization for Italian Americans in the
U.S.  I will be in charge of its national magazine, ITALIAN AMERICA; its
cultural and research activities; and its anti-defamation programs.

I leave the NIAF with many great memories of hard working colleagues,
creative programs, and an impressive board.  I consider myself extremely
fortunate to have been a part of this worthy foundation and to have the
opportunity to work for another equally worthy organization.  Both have as
their mission the preservation and promotion of Italian American history and
culture.

I will begin at OSIA on January 22 and shortly thereafter I will give you
my new mailing address and phone, email, etc.

My last day at the NIAF will be Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Arrivederci a presto!

Dona de Sanctis
