Cast Your Vote For New Jersey Hall of Fame Inductees

Vote to make sure that Italian Americans are appropriately represented in the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

 

The first class of fifteen inductees was celebrated at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Those 15 included, Frank Sinatra, Vince Lombardi, Yogi Berra, and Bruce Springsteen.

 

This years group of  30 nominees that will be narrowed to 15 inductees by YOUR vote include:

Guglielmo Marconi, (Enterprise) Phil Rizzuto  (Sports). Jon Bon Jovi (Arts & Entertainment);  and  Lou Costello (Arts & Entertainment); The voting closes November 30, 2008.

 

Visit www.NJHallofFame.org  and 1. cast your vote in all five categories. 2. giving special consideration to Guglielmo Marconi in the "Enterprise" category. And 3. Forward this request to your friends and suggest they cast their votes as well.

 

New Jersey Hall of Fame

 

The New Jersey Hall of Fame has been created to honor citizens who have made invaluable contributions to society and the world beyond. The Hall of Fame reinforces the message to children that they can and should strive for excellence in any endeavor of their choosing. By presenting significant and powerful role models and teaching young people about the voting process, the Hall of Fame is a source of learning, inspiration and hope for children.

 

Guglielmo Marconi was an Italian born inventor who won the Nobel Prize for his "contribution to the development of wireless technology" and did pioneering work in New Jersey. Marconi is one of six nominees in the "Enterprise" category for the 2008 New Jersey Hall of Fame.

 

You can help by visiting www.NJHallofFame.org and 1. casting your vote in all five categories. 2. giving special consideration to Guglielmo Marconi in the "Enterprise" category. And 3. Forwarding this request to your friends and suggest they cast their votes as well.

 

Other Italian Americans on the ballot include Jon Bon Jovi (Arts & Entertainment); Lou Costello (Arts & Entertainment); and Phil Rizzuto (Sports).
