Subj: THAT'S LIFE
For quite a while now, the Order Sons of Italy in America has
been
receiving letters, phone calls and emails from our supporters in praise
of
THAT'S LIFE. Now we hear with some alarm that this delightful
series may be
taken off the air.
I write to ask your advice about what we in the Italian American community
can do to save this show. It is the first time on national television
that
a loving, respectable Italian American family is high lighted.
We think the
writing, the plots, and the acting are all first rate and right on
target.
We don't mean to be presumptuous, but we urge you to consider putting
this
program on a better night and in a more regular time slot. If
it is given
the right night and not pre-empted, we are convinced you would see
a surge
in viewership.
The Order Sons of Italy in America is the oldest and largest organization
for Italian Americans in the nation. We are nearly 100 years
old, and have
a collective membership of more than 500,000 people in every state
of the
Union and in Canada, too.
Any suggestions you offer to help us help this series would be deeply,
deeply appreciated.
