Italian Adriano Celentano Wrote/Performed FIRST Rap Song in 1972??- "Prisencolinensinainciusol"

For you lesser intellectuals, the sassy dancer with the blond bob is Raffaella Carra. :) :)

"Prisencolinensinainciusol", was written as a "rock" song in the form of "rap"  by Adriano Celentano in 1972.

In this remarkable and fully rockin' video, Italian singer, Celentano performs a rock piece whose lyrics are gibberish intended to sound like English. Entitled "What English Sounds Like to Foreigners,"  A number of the Commentors about the Video, were VERY impressed, loved the beat, the production values, and said the words were as incomprehensible as most American/British rock/rap music, and specifically referred to Bob Dylan amongst others. LOL

To get Intellectual for a Moment, while some would say Celentano was Satirizing, Mocking, or Mimicking American Rock, others will insist that he was engaging in a meticulous rendition of "Empty" English, as others have done "empty" versions of all languages.

To do empty English you have to remember that in words that have two or more syllables, you will always have one of those syllables that will be stressed. For example, in "America"; the stress will be on the second syllable. Using a French word, let's say, " marteau", to make it sound English, you stress the first syllable and don't roll the "r". (MAHR-tow) Empty French is characterized by putting no stress on all syllables of all the words of the sentence except the last syllable of the last word . If you say "excellent", both syllables should be of equal strength, and it would be essential that you learn to pronounce nasals (en, in, an, on, un, etc. where the "n" is not sounded) (ex-sell-ah...).
