Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone convincingly beats Roberta Vinci 6-1, 6-1, last years champ, to win Barcelona Ladies Open.

BARCELONA, Spain — Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone has beaten Italian compatriot Roberta Vinci 6-1, 6-1 to win the Barcelona Ladies Open.
Schiavone broke the defending champion five times and saved all three break chances in Saturday's final.
Schiavone's third career WTA Tour title ended unseeded Vinci's 9-0 run in the tournament, including a win over Schiavone in last year's semifinals.
The pair will team up next week when Italy defends its Fed Cup title in a home semifinal against the Czech Republic.

Schiavone beat Carla Su?rez Navarro, 6-4, 6-4, on Thursday to reach the final four here for the second straight year. Last year on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, she won one title and had two runner-up finishes and two semifinal showings, but after a semifinal run to start 2010 in Auckland, the Italian had not been past the round of 16 of any event prior to Barcelona. She looks to be heating up, though, as she is the only player left yet to drop a set this week. She then beat her next opponent Yaroslava Shvedova.to reach the Semi Finals
The semifinal on the bottom half of the draw will be contested by two women playing in their first final fours of 2010. Schiavone's conqueror in last year's semis here - Roberta Vinci - had an easy time with Timea Bacsinszky, 6-3, 6-0. Vinci is now 8-0 at this event in her career, having won all five of her matches here last year en route to the title. She then beat her next opponent , Alexandra Dulgheru,
