Italy CollectsTaxes, and Fines on Undeclared Offshore Funds Amnesty Plan
 

Not only will Italy collect Taxes and Fines, to increase Revenues, but Assets usually come back to Italy for Local Reinvestment. 



Italians To Repatriate Assets Worth Over EUR106B In Amnesty

MILAN (Dow Jones)--Italians are repatriating total assets estimated at more than EUR106 billion as part of a six-month tax amnesty plan, several private bankers and officials working on the plan said Friday. 
In October the Italian government approved the amnesty plan that allowed Italians to repatriate money and real-estate properties bought with undeclared offshore funds. It included equities, bonds and other financial assets, with investors paying a 5% fine on the total value of those assets, along with due taxes. 
In December, the government extended the plan to the end of April, increasing the fees to up to 7%....
