Tony Danza Definitely Not "Snookin"

Tony Danza, doesn't think Jersey Shore is doing teachers any good. But, the veteran actor doesn't blame the Jersey Shore cast, but rather the people who put things like Jersey Shore on TV -MYV.

I agree, These Anti-Intellectual Illiterates, make Developmently Disabled seem Brilliant. They would have every right to plead "STUPIDITY" for any of their Immoral or Unlawful actions.

Tony Danza Definitely Not "Snookin"

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Having seen the cast of Jersey Shore in person, we have to say, they have a bizarre charm.

Tony Danza, of all people, doesn't think Jersey Shore is doing teachers any good. But interestingly, the veteran actor doesn't blame the Jersey Shore cast, but rather the people who put things like Jersey Shore on TV.

Thus summarizes a great juxtaposition of attitudes that occurred at the Television Critics Association tour when a session for Jersey Shore - a big-buzz reality series in the midst of its second season on MTV - closely was followed by a session for Danza?s new reality series Teach: Tony Danza.

In Canada, the second-season debut of Jersey Shore saw a 174% increase in ratings over the first-season debut. Danza, meanwhile, worked as a full-time teacher at a Philadelphia high school for a year, and Teach - a documentary series chronicling his experiences - debuts Oct. 1 on A&E.

The eight main cast members on Jersey Shore, four guys and four girls, appeared before critics and stood on the stage, rather than sitting, for their entire session - a first in our memory at TCA. The truth is, the girls- tight dresses were far too short for a comfortable sitting experience, not to mention the possibility of a Britney Spears-style no-underwear moment.

Snooki - real name Nicole Polizzi - is the clear star of Jersey Shore, to the chagrin of some of her cast-mates, we suspect. Snooki and Michael (The Situation) Sorrentino were the only individuals who attracted substantial media scrums after the session, and we noticed a couple of sulky glares from the others.

Intentionally and unintentionally, Snooki is pretty hilarious. She cracked up the scrum when asked about U.S. President Barack Obama's comments on The View that he doesn?t know who Snooki is.

"Yes, he does," Snooki said. "Obama's lying. He knows who I am."

Snooki summed up her life philosophy by saying, ?I?m just snookin?, you know, that?s all.? So what exactly is ?snookin? ??

"Snookin" is when you're lookin, so if I say I'm snookin for love, I'm snookin for a guy. If I snooked the night, then I took the night. Get it??

Uh ... let's say yes.

One person who doesn't get it is Danza.

Jersey Shore has come under fire for its depiction of Italian Americans and New Jersey, even though most of the participants aren?t fully Italian American, nor are most of them from New Jersey. Danza isn?t from New Jersey, either, but as an Italian American and now as a teacher, he laments that Jersey Shore exists.

"I think shows like Jersey Shore make it harder on teachers in general", Danza said. Every day I tell kids, "Good behaviour will pay off. Promise." Then they go home and watch that show and say, "Wait a minute, Mr. Danza, you're wrong. Bad behaviour pays off."

"Right after I got back from (his year of teaching), I was working out in the gym and there was a discussion about Jersey Shore. And this very, very wealthy woman said, "Oh, I despise those people on that show"

"I couldn't help it, I had to point out to her, "How do you feel about the guys in the suits you had dinner with last night who put that show on?       " I mean, you can hate the kids, but it's Viacom, it's the big companies.? ?

In other words, Tony Danza definitely is not "snookin" ?

Oddly, we've never been more open to learning how.
