Unbelievable! "Jersey Shore" is about to air a 2nd season, NOW we have the Debut of  "My Big Friggin' Wedding", again focusing on the lowest possible level of Anti Intellectual Italian Americans. 

I just watched the premier episode and it is HORRIBLE!!!  

It is a "reality" show about 5 couples preparing for their wedding in New Jersey a majority of whom are Italian American.  But it is SO OBVIOUS that Salsano works very hard to find the WORST bunch of bad-acting, moronic, drunken, low-class, bimbos and buffoons to "star" in her shows.  And, why would she not - it made her bags of money with Jersey Shore.  So, she is just repeating the formula to bring upon us AGAIN a disgraceful portrayal of young Italian Americans from New Jersey.

The first couple includes the "celebrity wannabe" Johnny DeCarlo.  You remember him.  He is the one who was defending the use of Guido in Jersey Shore and was on the panel at the Calandra Institute, ( and a Featured Blogger on the Calandra Web Site "i-Italy" ( IDAP)   as "Johnny Mearballs" )  [Would Calandra Stoop THAT LOW !!!!!]  http://www.i-italy.org/   [ In Right Column]

[RAA NOTE: I have been acquainted with DeCarlo for 10 years via the H-ITAM Bulletin Board, who initially not only WILDLY advocated "Guido" Lifestyle, but  held out the "Mafia" as Heroes. Johhny is Jobless with the Dream of a "Meatball Empire", LOL. DeCarlo is barely presentable looking, and his very Plump Bride is either VERY Pregnant, or been eating WAY too Many of his Meatballs.]     

DeCarlo is so desperate for his 15 minutes of fame that he prostitutes his own marriage for this show.  He starts the show off with an explanation that he started dating his current fiance - who was married at the time and with a child.  She is now pregnant with his kid.  But, she says "I want to pop the kid out before the wedding so I can drink the way I want."  How classy!  And, this is just in the first 4 minutes!!!!!!!!!  The next couple is so drunk during their interviews that they slur all their words - and the parents are some example - her stepdad spills his beer all over the couch as he slobbers his words very obviously so drunk he can't speak.  What a great view of Italian Americans from NJ!!!!  The stereotyping and denigration are rampant - and it is from Italian Americans themselves who are being exploited to make this show the next "train wreck" that everyone wants to watch - and connect with Italian Americans!!!

I can't believe I am saying this - but this show makes Jersey Shore look tame!  I am convinced that Sallyann Salsano is doing more harm to the perception of young Italian Americans from New Jersey than everyone else that has come before her COMBINED.

This is unbearable!
