(A). DISH NETWORK OFFER AND RAI INTERNATIONAL - Probably the best deal
around, get the satellite dish, the receiver, and basic installation
at no charge
(easily a $400 value) by subscribing to their basic $22.99 a month
50-channel-service. Dish Network is the exclusive provider of
RAI
International, which can be added to the above package for $9.99 per
month.
May not be available in all areas. For information click on the Main
Page,
far right column, GETaDISH. If you speak or are learning Italian, RAI
International is a must for you. In addition to hearing and practicing
the
Italian language you will get many very interesting cultural programs
and, as
a bonus, you’ll enjoy a different slant on the world-wide news. You
may say
news is news is news… Not so, there is definitely a different opinion
on
world events when reported by another country. To warn you, you’ll
also get
your share of junk programs, after all, it’s TV we are talking about.
In the
main, it’s well worth the extra $10 a month (You can discontinue HBO
and the
Sopranos for the same amount…)
-~-~-~-~-
(B). NEW COMMERCE SECTION IN OUR PORTAL - On far right column of main
Page,
this new service will link you to businesses offering products or services
of
interest to the Italian-American community. [Main Page -> COMMERCE]
-~-~-~-~-
(C). AgenParl, NEW COLUMN ON POLITICAL AND ECONOMICS FROM ITALY - Especially
for enthusiasts of Italian politics, a blow-by-blow and nothing-held-back
column on the ins and outs of the Italian political scene, we have
made a special
arrangement with AgenParl to publish their column. Very detailed
and in
Italian only. [Main Page -> Departments -> AgenParl]
-~-~-~-~-

synopsis of
news of the last month or so. Miscellanea [Main Page-> Miscellanea].
