Wouldn't it be nice if one of our well positioned
I-A Entertainment/ TV Executives,
or even one of our Major I-A Organizations, were to be able to use
their
influence to have this "picked up" by PBS or one of the other Cable
Channels,
and shown nationally?
Why must we be deluged with c**p, and starved for "quality" I-A entertainment??

Excerpt from an article,
Southern Comfort: Exploring Sicilian Culture in NYC and Sicily
By LindaAnn Loschiavo
...Steve Scionti won an award for his one-man show: “Life's A
Pizza: Slices
of Life from a Sicilian American Family,” a tribute to his Sicilian
roots.
In his comic tour de force, author/performer Steve Scionti
takes the
audience on a comic journey, transforming himself into his grandfather
and
other characters. Though his last live performance was
in mid-March at a
downtown theater in NYC, he can be seen on Channel 73 on Long Island.
If you missed him when he performed this solo act at various
off-Broadway
theaters, you can see his live performance taped at the Emelin Theatre
in
June 2001 via Larchmont-Mamaroneck Community Television (LMC-TV).
LMC-TV offers a unique service called Request TV;
viewers can request a
program to air. It could also be a municipal meeting that you
missed, a
favorite show, or the Mamaroneck Firemen's Parade. They offer
to “schedule
it at a time convenient to you on one of their channels, usually Channel
73.”
