(1) ITALY CANCELS BOLIVIA'S FOREIGN DEBT

The Italian government has cancelled Bolivia's 68 million dollar foreign debt 
to Italy.

The agreement was signed at the Farnesina by Foreign Undersecretary Mario 
Baccini and Bolivian Vice-Minister Fernando Rojas Araiza. Italy's decision to 
cancel the debt is part of an international campaign in favor of developing 
countries. 

Pacts were also signed for scientific co-operation, and bilateral 
technological cooperation in the fields of health, the environment, and small 
businesses.

(2) YOUNG PEOPLE CHOOSE CHASTITY 
TO AVOID ENDING UP LIKE THEIR PARENTS

Chastity, it would seem, is back in fashion. A survey conducted by the 
monthly magazine "20 Anni" (Twentysomething) on 664 young people between the 
ages of 17 and 23, found that one out of three girls considers chastity a 
virtue. 

The survey claims that Italian girls are convinced that "making love can no 
longer be taken for granted", and that free love is on its way out. Young 
women, 20 year-olds, seem to have discovered "grandmother's values", and 
above all, "the ability to wait for the right moment". 

The reasons ? Girls don't want to risk finding themselves on the "first 
night" with nothing to discover, and don't want to risk living a bleak and 
monotonous life bereft of passion and romance, like the life they see their 
parents living.
