When Baldo Gandolfo arrived
in the United States, from his small town of Salemi,
just South-West from Palermo, Sicily, he thought that he would one day
be a teacher or diplomat. His BA in Languages and Master Degree in
Education would lead one to agree. Yet, since 1969, Baldo Gandolfo
has thrilled the St. Louis Area with exquisite Italian Cooking.
He became partners with La Cino's Restaurant and in 1976 opened Italian
Garden Restaurant. This partnership lasted many years until 1981 when Baldo
sold his share of La Cino's and Italian Garden Restaurant and opened Da
Vinci's. Da Vinci's is now renamed da Baldo's but one thing remains consistant
throughout the years: dedication to authentic, quality Italian Food.
