Nov 23 & 24   St.Louis International Film Festival    Hi-Pointe Theatre
  The only Italian movie to be shown is The Way We Laughed (Cosi ridevano) at the Hi-Pointe Theatre on Saturday, November 23 at 4:15 p.m. and Sunday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. 

   Advance tickets (recommended) are available only at the above theatre, general admission is $8.00.  Cosi ridevano takes place in the late 1950s and is about two Sicilian brothers who emigrated to Turin.  The movie, by Gianni Amelio, won the top prize three years ago at the Venice Film Festival.  Click on the picture for more information about the movie.

Come celebrate Puccini's birthday as the Bohemians might have celebrated life at the Cafe Momus, a fund raiser for Union Avenue Opera Theatre, on Sunday December 22 at 8 PM at Dressel’s Pub, 419 N. Euclid. Puccini arias will be sung and there will be an opera trivia contest.  Tickets are $15 and include Italian wines and hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will also be available.
